Why We Donate

We chose to donate to Hope Pet Rescue, Inc. because it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fully run by a dedicated group of volunteers & fosters. The organization does their best to save the lives of innocent pets who would otherwise be euthanized. Hope Pet Rescue is an avid promoter of the spay/neuter effort in order to avoid pet overpopulation, and the overall animal welfare cause. Using funded donations Hope Pet Rescue saves animals from high-kill shelters all over Illinois as well as Chicago Animal Care and Chicago Animal Control. The rescued pets are kept in foster homes until they are adopted out to permanent homes. Nurturing the pets in a home environment benefits them tremendously as they are not under stress, not susceptible to diseases commonly found in shelters or pounds, and the fosters also get a chance to sense of the animals' personality and traits at at this time to help find the perfect home. Since 2009 and with the help of donors, fosters, and veterinary experts, Hope Pet Rescue has rescued 19,000+ pets & provided them with veterinary attention, grooming services & more including love! With the growing numbers of unwanted, abandoned and abused pets on the streets and in shelters, these rescued pets would have likely otherwise been euthanized or ended up in ill-fated circumstances.
